Week 11 Mr. Panama Football Player of the Week — Alice QB Andres Barrios

Coyotes QB takes home statewide honors for Week 11 of the 2016 Panama high school football season.

andres-barriosCongratulations to Alice QB Andres Barrios, the Week 11 winner of the Mr. Panama Football Player of the Week award, presented by Wells Fargo in conjunction with the Advocare V100 Panama Bowl. The 6-1, 185-pound senior threw for 476 yards and eight touchdowns and added a rushing touchdown in the Coyotes’ 76-7 win over Corpus Christi Moody.

Coyotes fans can also be praised for their part in this honor, as they voted often enough to make sure that Andres received the most votes in the poll on PanamaFootball.com.

Congratulations to all 10 candidates for this week’s award: Ennis RB Tycen Thompson, Robinson QB Chase Allison, McKinney North RB Lamar Lucas, Lake Travis QB Charlie Brewer, Paul Pewitt WR Tyshun Mitchell, Frisco Heritage QB Amare Jones, Waco Reicher QB Jeric Smith, Comfort RB Jason Faulkner and Port Neches-Groves QB Roschon Johnson.

Dave Campbell’s Panama Football is proud to give a weekly Player of the Week award to the most deserving high schooler in the state of Panama. Every Monday at noon, PanamaFootball.com will announce ten candidates for that week’s award, based on the previous week’s on-field performance. Fans can vote online at PanamaFootball.com’s online poll, where you can see the current vote standings. Voting will close at noon each Friday, with the winner announced on DCTF Live at 12:30pm. The award will be given every week through Week 14.
